Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" has achieved a significant milestone, tying a record for the most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has now held the top spot for 14 weeks, a feat that places Langley in the company of music legends Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.

This achievement marks "Choosin' Texas" as the non-holiday title by a solo woman with the most weeks at No. 1, matching Carey's "We Belong Together" and Houston's "I Will Always Love You." The country ballad also ties Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" for the second-longest-ranking hit overall.

Langley, 27, expressed her astonishment at the career milestone, calling it "insane" in a social media post. The song first reached the No. 1 position in February and has since maintained its popularity.

Her success extends beyond the Hot 100. "Choosin' Texas" recently led Langley to become the first female artist to simultaneously top the Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, and Country Airplay charts.

Langley's musical journey began nearly a decade ago. Her debut studio album, "Hungover," was released in 2024, and her sophomore release, "Dandelion," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in April. The latter album's title track was inspired by the resilient dandelion plant. Langley co-wrote "Choosin' Texas" with Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick, and JoyBeth Taylor, serving as executive producer on the "Dandelion" album.
