Eamonn Holmes' girlfriend, Katie Alexander, has shared a tribute to "unsupported" men and those who are "masking their pain," amid the presenter's ongoing health issues, including a stroke in April.
Alexander reportedly moved out of the flat she shared with Holmes last month, with sources suggesting their relationship had become strained. She re-shared a post for Men's Health Month, which highlighted the struggles faced by men, stating, "November is Men's Health Month, we're sending love to those who are: afraid to be vulnerable; feeling unseen or unsupported; masking pain with a smile; experiencing suicidal ideation; struggling with body image issues; healing from trauma."
This comes after reports that Holmes' ex-wives, Ruth Langsford and Gabrielle Holmes, have united to support him during his recovery. A source told The Sun that Alexander felt "cast aside" and "very, very upset" by this development. Alexander has alluded to her relationship difficulties in cryptic posts on social media since moving out.
One such post read, "There is a quiet kind of strength in becoming comfortable with who you are. No longer needing to prove, explain or seek validation – just choosing peace, protecting your energy and finding beauty in the life you're creating. Softness is strength. Peace is luxury. And knowing your worth changes everything. Starting with yourself."
Alexander, who is 22 years younger than Holmes, began dating the presenter in 2024 after his marriage to Langsford ended. She has two children from a previous marriage and had been splitting her time between Yorkshire and Holmes' rented penthouse apartment in Kingston upon Thames.
Holmes was hospitalized in April after suffering a stroke. He was last seen in public in June with Alexander by his side. Following his hospitalization, it is understood that Holmes' children from his first marriage—Declan, Rebecca, and Niall—made the decision for Alexander to vacate the Kingston apartment. The flat has since been returned to the landlords, and Alexander was reportedly "devastated" to clear her belongings out. It is not yet known where Holmes will reside upon his release from the hospital.
Friends believe Alexander has been "cast aside" by Holmes' family as they have rallied around him. "The Holmes clan have pulled together to form a close unit as they navigate what Eamonn's future is," a source familiar with the situation stated. "But Katie has been left out in the cold, on her own, and that is very upsetting for her."
In March, just a month before his stroke, Holmes described Alexander as "the perfect tonic" for his health issues, highlighting their shared tastes in food and activities like countryside walks. He had previously undergone major spinal surgery in 2022 for slipped discs and has dealt with other health problems, including arthritis in his spine. Despite these physical challenges, Holmes had expressed in interviews that he remained mentally sharp and was enjoying life with Alexander.
Reports also suggest that Holmes will not be returning to his role at GB News, as his recovery is reportedly taking longer than expected, leading those close to him to believe his career may be over.
