Former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges admitted that he has given his friends "false hope" regarding their chances of dating country music singer Ella Langley.
Hodges, who is married to country star Lainey Wilson, shared this during a recent appearance on the "Game Runs Deep" podcast. He explained that some of his friends have asked him to set them up with Langley, but he acknowledged that his own success in marrying Wilson might have given them unrealistic expectations.
"Some of my friends, they'll get with me, and they'll be like, 'Dude, set me up with Ella, or set me up with somebody,'" Hodges said. "And I felt bad because I gave all these guys false hope that if I did it, they can do it."
Hodges recounted that his friends might think there's a possibility for them if they are close with him, but he cautioned against such optimism.
"I say go for it, but don't expect to land a date with one of the singers on top of country music by hitting up Duck Hodges," he added. "He's got his own thing going right now. Not everyone is able to land a Lainey Wilson through mutual friends."
Hodges and Wilson, who was once humorously labeled as having "country music's biggest butt," have been together for over three years and are now married.
