Sophie Brussaux, the mother of rapper Drake's eight-year-old son Adonis, married Turkish Muay Thai fighter Efe Caliskan on Father's Day in Canada. Brussaux, a 36-year-old French artist, exchanged vows with Caliskan, 26, in a ceremony described as a "fairytale" by Brussaux.
The nuptials reportedly took place at Erin Estate, northwest of Guelph, Ontario. Photos and videos from the event were shared by Brussaux on social media, though Drake was not present, according to DJ Vlad. Brussaux and Drake have maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship since his initial doubts about paternity were resolved by a DNA test.
Caliskan, who recently won his MMA debut at the Canadian Fight League, also shares Brussaux's interest in Muay Thai, with footage of them training together posted in January. Brussaux was never in a serious romantic relationship with Drake, announcing her pregnancy in May 2017. Drake confirmed his paternity following the release of Pusha T's diss track "The Story of Adidon" in May 2018. He later addressed his son in his 2018 album "Scorpion," including the track "March 14" which referenced his relationship with Brussaux leading up to Adonis's conception.
