Donatella Versace is embarking on a new creative chapter with the upcoming launch of an independent beauty and fashion brand in partnership with Revolve Group. The venture, set to debut next year, will see the 71-year-old designer serve as chief creative officer.

Beauty products are expected to be the initial focus for the yet-to-be-named label, which will operate independently and span beauty, fashion, and entertainment. The brand will be available across the United States, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East.

This collaboration marks Versace's return to leading a brand approximately 18 months after her departure from Versace in March 2025. She had spent nearly three decades at the helm of the Italian fashion house founded by her late brother, Gianni Versace. At the time of her exit from Versace, industry sources indicated that her contract with the then-owner, Capri Holdings, prohibited her from associating the Versace name with other labels or designing apparel elsewhere. The specifics of how these previous restrictions align with the new partnership remain unclear.

"I believe creativity should be fearless, inclusive and alive in the world," Donatella Versace stated. "This partnership gives me the freedom to speak to that generation in a completely new and personal way, through beauty and fashion."

Revolve Group, co-founded by Michael Mente and Mike Karanikolis in 2003, reported $1.23 billion in revenue last year. The company has previously engaged in joint ventures with figures such as Cardi B and Sofia Richie Grainge.

"Donatella is one of the defining creative voices of our time," Mente said in a press release. "This partnership gives that vision an entirely new platform and the freedom to build something from the ground up." He described the new venture as "a digital-first world people can participate in, not simply buy from," aiming to integrate content, experiences, and commerce.

Versace expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, noting, "Revolve understands something I believe deeply: culture comes from connection. Together, we want to create that connection with a new voice, a new look and a new energy."

Since Donatella Versace's departure, the Versace brand has seen shifts in creative leadership, with Dario Vitale and later Pieter Mulier holding the creative director role. In December 2025, the Prada Group acquired the Versace label.

The name and full creative direction for the new venture are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
