American tennis star Coco Gauff has revealed that her new hobby is pole dancing, a pursuit she hopes will be a lasting interest outside of her athletic career.

In a recent Q&A with Vogue, the two-time Grand Slam champion shared that she began pole dancing about three weeks prior and is thoroughly enjoying it. "I'm one of those people that hobby jumps a lot," Gauff, 22, admitted. "I bought a guitar and I haven’t used it; I bought a keyboard. So I need to stop wasting money on stuff that I’m interested in for two weeks. I’m hoping that this one sticks. It’s challenging though — I’m not very great, but one day."

Gauff also mentioned that she plays basketball for enjoyment, though she acknowledges she isn't particularly skilled at it. "I’m not good, I just like it," she added.

The New Balance athlete is preparing to face fellow American Jessica Pegula at the season-ending WTA Finals in Indian Wells. The Vogue interview featured conversations with eight of the top-ranked women's tennis players, including Gauff, Pegula, Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Elina Svitolina, Linda Noskova, Karolina Muchova, and Mirra Andreeva, during a fashion shoot.

Separately, Pegula commented on Andreeva, calling her a "diva" who "needs to be humbled" during a recent practice session at Indian Wells, suggesting Andreeva would benefit from Gauff's mentality.
