Carrie Bickmore, 45, has revealed a significant gym transformation, sharing photos of her developing musculature on Instagram.
The radio personality, who recently returned to the airwaves after a health issue that required surgery, posted a mirror selfie from the gym on Friday. The image shows Bickmore lifting weights, highlighting her back muscles and biceps while wearing activewear.
"In my strength training era," Bickmore captioned the post, tagging ELEVATE Strength & Fitness in Ivanhoe, Melbourne.
Bickmore's return to her national radio show, The Hit Network's Carrie & Tommy, on June 15, followed an absence of several weeks. She had undergone surgery to address vocal cord issues to prevent lasting damage.
During her absence, presenter Loren Barry filled in alongside co-host Tommy Little. Little confirmed Bickmore's upcoming return, noting positive news about her recovery.
"Carrie, in great news, her voice is on the mend, and she'll be back with us on Monday, which is fantastic. We can't wait to have her back," Little said at the time.
Bickmore first disclosed her voice concerns in May, explaining that she had consulted an ear, nose, and throat specialist due to ongoing issues. She was advised that her vocal cords were in poor condition and needed urgent treatment to avoid long-term complications, leading to her surgery and subsequent break.
In a May broadcast, Bickmore expressed her emotional response to discussing her health battle and break, stating, "I'll be fine, sorry… I don't know why it's making me so upset. I just don't like letting people down, and I don't like letting myself down."
She added, "I also really love my job, and I don't want to be forced to never do it again. So I'm gonna take some time off and go get it fixed." At that time, she was uncertain about the duration of her treatment and her return to air.
