Carol Vorderman, 65, has disclosed that she was recently transported to the hospital by ambulance following a severe fall that rendered her unconscious.

The television personality shared an update on her health via Instagram, recounting how she tripped over an unseen tree root near her residence and fell heavily onto a tarmac path.

"I went smash here on the tarmac path, and I was unconscious," Vorderman stated in a video. She recalled that an ambulance was called and she was taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI). She also noted with amusement that "The Countdown" was playing in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.

Vorderman was discharged the following day but experienced significant vomiting, prompting her return to the hospital. Doctors performed CT scans, and she was released again. She described having a large black eye and bruises on her face for several weeks. Approximately two to three weeks later, she began experiencing dizziness, describing it as feeling like "walking on a moving ship."

The former "I'm a Celebrity" star explained that the room felt like it was spinning. She attributed her recovery from this dizziness to the "Epley technique" and the assistance of a therapist named Sophie. After three sessions of the Epley technique, Vorderman reported being discharged and feeling significantly better.

She clarified that she is not a medical professional and is only sharing her personal experience. Vorderman explained that her condition was BPPV, which involves dislodged crystals in the inner ear, and that Sophie helped to reposition them.

Vorderman also recently spoke about her plans for cosmetic surgery, including a facelift within the next few years. She has previously addressed criticism regarding her use of Botox, stating her intention to spend her money on procedures she desires. "It's my money, I've earned it, so I'll spend it on what I like," she told the Daily Mail's Richard Eden. "I am accepting of myself, but I also want to look good, and those two things can go together."
