Rapper Cardi B has confirmed long-standing rumors that she has undergone a butt reduction. During a recent Instagram Live session, the artist addressed fans who have suggested she reduce the size of her buttocks, stating she has already had the procedure done.

Cardi B, whose birth name is Belcalis Almánzar, explained that she received biopolymer injections, a type of silicone-based filler not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, when she was 21 years old. She stated that due to loose skin, a simple liposuction procedure to reduce her buttocks could cause them to drop, necessitating a more invasive surgery involving cutting, which she is not willing to undergo due to the extensive recovery time.

"I don’t need to go get my ass reduced. News flash, I did get my ass reduced," the rapper said, as captured in online videos. "I can’t just go and lipo my butt because my skin is kinda loose. That’s why my ass shakes so much. So, if I just go and get a lipo reduction, that is the easy way, my ass could drop. So, I would have to cut myself. And I’m not cutting myself. I’m not sitting down for four months."

She added that she is "comfortable in my skin" and "like my body how it looks right now." Cardi, 33, revealed she has undergone "two lipos and one ass reduction." The rapper attributed her decision to proceed with the reduction surgery to her "small" and "petite" frame, noting that her mother, sister, and aunts are also petite.

Cardi B also shared advice with her followers on how to achieve a "snatched" appearance, mentioning a diet of grilled chicken and salmon and fiber-rich beverages. She humorously advised fans to "starve" themselves. "That’s what I do. I’m being as honest as possible," she stated. "[Anytime] someone’s talking about oh, ‘I look good,’ y’all say I’m doing surgery. So shut the f–k up! It just gives straight hater. Hating ass bitches. Enjoy your life. Enjoy yourself, enjoy your everything."

In 2018, Cardi B disclosed that she had received illegal butt injections in Queens, New York, for $800. She described the experience as excruciating, telling GQ at the time that "They don’t numb your ass with anything. It was the craziest pain ever. I felt like I was gonna pass out. I felt a little dizzy. And it leaks for, like, five days."

Last year, the mother of four mentioned having butt reduction surgery while cautioning against butt crack piercings. She likened the procedure to a tummy tuck for the buttocks, explaining that it involved removing biopolymers from the top of her backside, resulting in numbness in that area. "I have surgery on my butt. You know, sometimes people say that my butt is too big, but they don’t understand. They already did a butt surgery to reduce my ass," she said on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast. "So, you know, like when people do a tummy tuck in your stomach? I practically did a tummy tuck on my ass, like on top, so I could remove some biopolymers. So, like the top of my ass, like that skin part is like numb, like a tummy tuck. So when I pierced my ass, I ain’t felt s–t."

Cardi B has undergone various cosmetic procedures throughout her career, including dental veneers and breast augmentation. In 2019, she had previously stated her intention to refrain from further plastic surgery.
