Lexi Wood, a cast member of Summer House, said she and Brooklyn Beckham dated for more than a year beginning in 2018 and kept the relationship private, remarks she made as the Beckhams’ public dispute with Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, continues to draw attention.

Wood, 27, told the Daily Mail that she and Beckham were together “for more than a year” before he met Peltz in October 2019 and that the pair valued privacy during their time together. She described Beckham as "an amazing person" and said she wishes him and Peltz well.

The comments come amid reports of a rift between the Beckham family and Peltz. The couple staged a large, reportedly 200-guest ceremony at the Peltz estate in Westchester County last month that did not include Victoria and David Beckham or Brooklyn’s brothers Romeo and Cruz, according to news accounts. Victoria and David Beckham, as well as several immediate Beckham family members, were also absent from Brooklyn and Peltz’s wedding at the Peltz family estate in Palm Beach in April 2022, a wedding that originally appeared to demonstrate a close blending of the two families.

Wood said she had spent time with both Victoria and David Beckham during her relationship with Brooklyn and praised them for raising “such a great family.” Asked about the family dispute, she said: "I think that you never know what happens behind closed doors. And all I know is my experience and my experience was amazing."

Wood made the comments at an event for the launch of her new collection with lingerie brand Hanky Panky. She also told the Daily Mail that she has met members of Peltz’s family and that, from the outside, they appear to be "amazing." She added that she has no ill will toward either side and that she “respects” both families.

On her personal life, Wood described a shift in how she approaches relationships. She said she is more comfortable showing vulnerability and being open about struggles as she grows older, and confirmed she is currently single. Wood has previously been linked to other public figures, including Presley Gerber and, in past reports, rapper Drake; she also briefly dated Summer House castmate Jesse Solomon.

Wood said privacy was important during her relationship with Beckham. "When we were younger, we really did love privacy," she said. "We didn't really hang out with either of our parents. We were really just hanging out with our siblings and having the best time." She framed the passage of time as a likely factor in the shift in family dynamics: "I think as people grow up, things shift, things change. Time is always evolving."

Representatives for Beckham and Peltz did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The family dispute has been the subject of extensive media coverage, with varying accounts about its origins and who attended recent family gatherings. Wood’s comments add to public accounts of the couples’ earlier lives and underscore that some relationships that preceded Brooklyn and Peltz’s marriage were kept deliberately private.

Wood’s remarks, published in the Daily Mail, underscore how past relationships and long-standing family ties have become part of the public conversation as the Beckham-Peltz feud continues to be reported by outlets tracking the social and familial fallout around the couple.
