Reality television personality Bobby Norris, 39, has revealed he has undergone nine cosmetic surgical procedures, joking that he is becoming the "male Katie Price." Norris appeared on ITV's "Good Morning Britain" on Tuesday to discuss his recent experiences, which are set to be featured in Olivia Attwood's upcoming show, "Price Of Perfection."
Norris stated that he underwent a face and neck lift, along with an eye-bag removal, earlier this year. These procedures followed what he described as "a decade of abusing fillers," and he estimates the cost to be over £50,000. He expressed his commitment to transparency regarding his surgeries, telling hosts Kate Garraway and Richard Madeley, "I'm really transparent about the things I've done."
"I think in this industry, rather than saying things are down to moisturisers and products, I'd rather document it and show people," Norris explained. "I think a lot of people think surgery is cheating but there is a recovery to it. It's not a quick easy thing. I think it's important to be really honest."
He also shared his apprehension about watching the footage of himself undergoing surgery for Attwood's show. "It's going to be strange to watch because they filmed me having it done in theatre," he said. "I don't know how I'm going to feel watching myself completely knocked out. I think I've had about eight or nine operations."
When prompted by Richard Madeley about potentially becoming like Katie Price, who has undergone numerous procedures, Norris acknowledged the comparison. "A lot of people compare me to Kate," he said. "She's like me though, we're very open about it and honest, because we do document it. I don't see a shame in it."
Norris elaborated on his most recent surgeries, explaining the rationale behind having his face and neck treated simultaneously. "When you have a platform and a profile, I think it's important to be honest and show the reality. I'm not embarrassed or ashamed of it," he stated. "In terms of the last surgery, I had my face done and then my neck done whilst I was there because you're not going to put old wheels on a new car."
He also mentioned having had his upper eyelids lifted a couple of years prior to the recent facelift, followed by the lower eyelids. "Whilst you're under why not get it all done, I think," he commented.
Norris attributed his need for these procedures to having stretched his skin significantly over the past decade due to filler use. He indicated that he "doesn't know" the underlying reason for his repeated surgeries and stated he cannot self-diagnose with body dysmorphia. "I get offered a lot of surgery and treatments, everything I had done was for a reason," he asserted.
Norris's history of cosmetic surgery includes a nose job early in his career and the aforementioned upper eyelid lift. He admitted to Madeley that a fear of aging played a role in his decisions, particularly as he approaches his 40th birthday.
