Blake Lively made a rare public appearance in New York City on Tuesday night, stepping out in a sequined little black dress for an event celebrating jeweler Brent Neale's new holiday collection. The actress, 39, was spotted on Manhattan's Upper East Side, according to E! News.
Lively's appearance comes after recent attention surrounding her beauty regimen. She shared a candid clip on Instagram detailing her nighttime routine, joking that her efforts aim to make her look as if she's in the "first trimester of life." The routine included red-light therapy headgear and a sheet mask, with Lively noting the effects of her children's star projector in the background.
This outing follows a period of legal proceedings involving her film "It Ends With Us." Lively had sued director and costar Justin Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation. The dispute was settled shortly before a trial was scheduled to begin. As part of a resolution, Baldoni was ordered to pay $400,000 of Lively's legal fees, a fraction of the $8 million she had initially sought. Baldoni had denied harassment, claiming Lively sought creative control. A countersuit by Baldoni was dismissed in June 2025, and the parties reached a settlement in May of the same year, releasing a joint statement committing to professional workplaces.
Lively, who shares four children with her husband Ryan Reynolds, has previously shared glimpses of her busy life as a mother and businesswoman, including quick beauty routines before heading out the door. The "Gossip Girl" star completed her glamorous look with clear Louboutins, a black leather hobo handbag, dangling earrings, and multiple sparkling rings.
