Francesca Packer has been seen with her new husband, Robert Bates, in Sydney for the first time since their wedding celebrations concluded in Mallorca, Spain, in July. The couple was observed at Sydney Airport as they departed for an undisclosed location.
Packer, 31, who married Bates, 46, in May, was seen linking arms and holding hands with her husband. She wore a fitted black Lycra dress paired with a blazer and a Chanel handbag, while Bates opted for a casual blue button-down shirt and jeans.
The couple's legal marriage took place in May at Ellerston, the Packer family's estate in New South Wales. This was followed by wedding celebrations in Mallorca in July, attended by approximately 18 guests. The celebrations initially were planned around a lunar cycle theme, inspired by Packer's interest in spirituality and crystals, but these plans were later abandoned.
Family reasons, including the mobility issues of Packer's grandmother, were cited as a motivation for holding the initial legal ceremony in Australia. Packer and Bates have been in a relationship since November 2022, with Packer hinting at their engagement via a private Instagram account dedicated to their future marriage.
Despite potential concerns from some about Bates's past controversies, a family friend expressed support for the couple, stating that Packer is intelligent and deserves happiness. The friend emphasized that Packer's choice of partner is her own decision and that she should be allowed to pursue her happiness without external judgment.
