Barry Keoghan, who is set to portray Ringo Starr in an upcoming Beatles biopic, has reportedly asked his younger brother, Eric, to stay away from the film's set. The decision is believed to stem from tensions between Eric and Keoghan's new girlfriend, Danica Hall.

Eric Keoghan, who has previously worked as his brother's assistant on film sets, has not been present during recent filming in London. Sources close to the actor told The Sun that Keoghan is in the "honeymoon phase" with Hall and that she is "not Eric’s biggest fan." This has led Barry to conclude that it would be best for Eric not to stay with him at his rented accommodation near London.

"Eric didn’t always bring out the best in Barry so it is probably better that the brothers are not in each other’s pocket," an insider told the publication. Representatives for Keoghan have not yet commented.

The Keoghan brothers have a deeply intertwined history, having grown up together in Dublin's foster care system. Their mother struggled with addiction, and the siblings moved between 13 different homes over seven years before being raised by their aunt. Their bond was further strengthened by the early death of their mother, Debbie, who died at age 31 from complications related to addiction. Barry was 12 years old at the time.

Prior to this reported rift, Eric Keoghan was a frequent presence in Barry's life, often featured on the actor's social media. However, their relationship is said to have cooled in recent months.

Barry Keoghan's relationship with Danica Hall, an aesthetician, was revealed earlier this year. Friends have described him as "totally smitten" with Hall, whom they say reminds him of his ex-girlfriend Alyson Kierans, the mother of his three-year-old son, Brando. Unlike Keoghan's previous high-profile relationship with singer Sabrina Carpenter, his romance with Hall is described as "low key."
