Aussie musician Jordan Brunoli, bassist for the indie rock band Bugs, has announced he is in the 'final chapter of life' as he battles stage-4 bowel cancer. Brunoli, 29, shared the news on Instagram Sunday, stating that his cancer has spread despite over a year of various chemotherapy treatments.
'I have a mutation that causes rapid growth of tumours, and none of the treatments have been able to stop the cancer from spreading,' Brunoli wrote. He was given a prognosis of three to four months in June.
Brunoli thanked his bandmates, Connor Brooker and Brock Weston, and encouraged fans to listen to Bugs' new album, 'Head Noise.' He described the band's dedication to completing the album over the past two years, recording through surgeries, chemotherapy sickness, and neuropathy that affected his ability to play guitar.
