Aubrey Plaza has quietly put her Los Feliz Spanish-style home on the market for $6.5 million, listing the property eight months after her husband, filmmaker Jeff Baena, was found dead there on Jan. 3.

The four-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom residence, described in the listing as a "private sanctuary" that has been "meticulously restored and tastefully updated," includes a screening room, wine cellar, pool, an oversized steam room and a state-of-the-art sound system. Plaza and Baena paid roughly $4.7 million for the house in October 2022, according to public records cited by Realtor.com.

Baena, 47, was found dead inside the property and his death was later ruled a suicide. At the time of his death, Plaza, 41, had been living in New York City after relocating amid a reported separation in September 2024. Plaza issued a statement through family calling the loss an "unimaginable tragedy" and asked for privacy. Representatives for Plaza did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the listing.

The listing was first reported by Realtor.com and later covered by Page Six. It characterizes the home as offering "space, seclusion, and authentic Spanish charm," marketing the property to buyers seeking privacy and restored period character alongside contemporary amenities.

Plaza has spoken publicly about her grief since Baena's death. In an August interview on Amy Poehler’s podcast "Good Hang," she described mourning as a persistent, overwhelming presence and said she is "here and functioning" while coping with a "daily struggle." She compared the experience to a continual ocean of awfulness that she sometimes wants to dive into and other times seeks to escape.

Public records show the purchase in 2022 was made through a trust managed by an accounting firm operating out of the same office as Plaza’s production company, Evil Hag Productions. The separation reported last fall and the subsequent death in January have been part of a closely watched personal timeline for the actor and filmmaker, both known for their work in independent and mainstream film and television.

The Los Feliz neighborhood, where the property is located, is popular among entertainment industry figures for its mix of historic architecture and proximity to studios and cultural amenities. The decision to list the home comes as Plaza continues to maintain a public profile through interviews and her acting work while navigating private family matters.

The listing, priced at $6.5 million, reflects adjustments to the market and the renovations noted in the description. It presents what the listing agent calls a rare opportunity for buyers seeking a restored Spanish-style estate with modern luxury features in an established Los Angeles enclave.
