Singer Ariana Grande has reportedly taken a private retreat to the Oxfordshire countryside to prepare for her London tour dates, following her announcement of a temporary break from public life due to intense scrutiny over her appearance.
Grande, 33, is said to have stayed at the exclusive members' club Soho Farmhouse with her boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez. The location is known for its strict privacy rules, offering a secluded environment for the artist.
According to reports, Grande and Alvarez traveled from New York to London and then proceeded to the countryside retreat. While Grande reportedly spent time relaxing at the spa, Alvarez engaged in activities like clay-pigeon shooting. The couple reportedly stayed for two days, seeking a respite from the demands of touring and public attention.
This break follows a period of heightened public commentary surrounding Grande's appearance, particularly after the release of her music video for "Petal." The video, which showcased a visibly thin figure, sparked widespread online discussion and speculation about her health. In response to the growing concern and scrutiny, Grande's representative confirmed a step back from visibility after completing her current tour dates on September 1.
The singer’s decision to withdraw temporarily also led to her departure from a planned West End production of "Sunday in the Park with George." Her hiatus announcement came just days after she publicly shared photos with Alvarez, her on-again boyfriend, on social media, signaling a rekindling of their past relationship.
Soho Farmhouse has been a previous retreat for Grande, who was also seen there in 2023 with then-boyfriend Ethan Slater. Their stay at the Oxfordshire club occurred prior to the public announcement of their relationship, which became widely known weeks later. At that time, Grande had also separated from her husband, real estate agent Dalton Gomez. Her relationship with Slater, who was also married at the time, subsequently drew significant media attention.
Coincidentally, singer Sabrina Carpenter was also reportedly at Soho Farmhouse around the same time. Carpenter had previously used the location to secretly record her album "Man's Best Friend" the previous year and was observed interacting with other guests.
