Disney inducted 11 new members into the prestigious Disney Legends program on Sunday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Among the honorees were actors Anne Hathaway and Dwayne Johnson, and Disney CEO Bob Iger, alongside other prominent figures from film, television, and music.
The ceremony, hosted by "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest, is a highlight of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, a biennial gathering that showcases the company's upcoming projects and celebrates its history.
This year's class of inductees also includes Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Jonas Brothers. Since the program's inception in 1987, when actor Fred MacMurray was the first recipient, a total of 329 individuals have been recognized as Disney Legends. Previous honorees include notable figures such as Robin Roberts, Julie Andrews, James Cameron, George Lucas, and Robin Williams.
The most recent group of inductees prior to 2026, honored in 2024, featured Miley Cyrus, Kelly Ripa, Angela Bassett, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Harrison Ford.
