Anna Delvey, the 34-year-old New York socialite convicted of defrauding members of Manhattan’s elite, walked in designer Elena Velez’s Spring/Summer 2026 show at The Box on Tuesday night wearing lingerie, a white lace bonnet and a visible court-ordered ankle monitor.
Delvey — born Anna Sorokin — appeared on the club’s runway in a nude bodysuit with sheer stockings held by a garter belt and a plunging denim coat featuring a ruffled bodice and exposed seams. The ankle monitor remained visible as part of her look. Delvey has been under house arrest since 2022 following her conviction for scamming Manhattan’s elite; according to Page Six, the radius on her monitor was recently extended to 75 miles.
The appearance was not Delvey’s first collaboration with Velez: she walked in the designer’s show last season, drawing media attention to both the collection and her persona. In an interview with Page Six earlier this month, Delvey said she had lost about 40 pounds and described an extensive beauty regimen, adding, "I wouldn't call it a makeover. I haven't had any facelift or plastic surgery, and I have a great [glam] team." The regimen she detailed included lasers, chemical peels and platelet-rich plasma treatments, along with other procedures and therapies. She also told Page Six she stopped taking Ozempic because it "made me very depressed" and now uses a vibration plate for fitness.
Delvey has leaned on public stunts and merchandise as part of a broader effort to reshape her image since her release from Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody; she was detained by ICE in 2021 for overstaying her visa. In recent months she has marketed "Bunnygate" merchandise after being publicly accused of abandoning rabbits in a Brooklyn park — an accusation that she has said was false — and is reported to be co-developing a media project with fashion publicist Kelly Cutrone.
Designers and shows have occasionally incorporated controversial figures as part of New York Fashion Week’s spectacle, and Velez’s choice to include Delvey again proved attention-grabbing. Photographers and attendees noted the contrast between the show’s garments and the visible bracelet of court supervision.
Delvey’s presence at a high-profile runway event while wearing an ankle monitor underscores her continued public prominence and the fashion world’s appetite for figures who blur the line between notoriety and celebrity. The appearance continued a pattern in which her participation at fashion events draws as much attention to her personhood and legal status as to the clothes on display.
