AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron posted and subsequently deleted a lengthy account of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding on X, formerly Twitter. The executive shared detailed observations of the ceremony and reception, which he described as a "lavish" event attended by approximately 1,000 guests.
Aron, who stated he has been "in Taylor Swift's orbit" since AMC distributed her "Eras Tour" movie in 2023, wrote that he felt it was a "privilege" to attend the nuptials. He noted that Madison Square Garden, the venue for the event, had been dramatically transformed.
"Floors, walls, ceilings" were draped in peach and white, and large photographs of Swift and Kelce from childhood through their teenage years were displayed. Aron described the venue as having been magically converted into "an outdoor garden at a lush countryside retreat," complete with real flowers and artificial trees. He observed that despite the large number of attendees, the atmosphere felt intimate.
He recounted that the ceremony began with "a few violins and cello" accompanying the wedding party, led by Kelce in a white tuxedo and Swift in a white wedding dress with a long veil. A press release later identified their attire as Christian Dior Haut Couture, and Adam Sandler as the officiant.
Aron described the vows as "long, entertaining, personal, charming, emotional, irreverent and endearing." He also noted a "sweep you off your feet kiss" that followed the exchange of vows.
The reception featured "superb food and drink" and ample music. Aron concluded his post by expressing a wish that others could have witnessed the "real, pure, true joy" of the occasion.
The wedding took place at Madison Square Garden on Friday evening. Signs outside the arena read "JUST&T MARRIED," and the Empire State Building was lit with blue lights as "something blue" for the bride. The event followed a more intimate rehearsal dinner on Thursday evening for about 100 guests.
