Singer Adele was recently seen enjoying a holiday on Italy's Amalfi Coast, taking a dip in the sea from a luxury yacht. She was accompanied by close friend and fashion designer Tom Ford.
During her time on the coast, Adele was photographed wearing a strapless swimsuit with surf leggings and goggles. She was also seen kayaking back to the yacht after her swim, though she took a brief tumble on the pebbled shoreline upon returning. The singer is reportedly taking a break from music following her Munich residency in August 2024.
This holiday marks one of several public appearances for Adele this year, which have included attending basketball games with her fiancé, sports agent Rich Paul, and a visit to the British Grand Prix. She has also been reported to be preparing for her first acting role in Tom Ford's film adaptation of Anne Rice's novel "Cry To Heaven."
Adele recently shared insights into her bond with her 13-year-old son, Angelo, with whom she co-parents after her marriage to Simon Konecki. The singer revealed that she and Angelo have bonded over a shared passion for Formula 1. She explained that her son's interest in karting, a common stepping stone for F1 drivers, led to her own engagement with the sport.
"So my son is really into karting and things like that. I don't know. He just sort of asked about it a couple of years ago and I was like, 'All right,'" Adele said. "I don't know many teenagers who have a passion so I'm really trying to encourage it. He's obsessed but I'm also obsessed."
She expressed the enjoyment of sharing this interest with her teenage son, noting, "But it's fun to have that interaction with a teenage boy... I wasn't expecting it."
Adele has previously shown her support for the sport, attending events such as the British Grand Prix and the US Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. She has also visited McLaren Racing headquarters, meeting drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
In a rare interview, Adele also touched on her music career and her feelings about fame, admitting that she doesn't sing often anymore. She reflected on the unexpected nature of her success, stating, "I wanted to be an A&R. I never thought that I was the talent." She described her job as a singer as "ridiculous" and acknowledged her ongoing struggles with the fame aspect of her career, saying, "It is very well known that I struggle with the fame side of it."
