Singer Adele is enjoying a holiday on Italy's Amalfi Coast, taking a break from her music career.

The 38-year-old artist was spotted leaving a luxury yacht by kayak and heading to a secluded beach for a swim. She was accompanied on the trip by fashion designer and filmmaker Tom Ford.

This outing marks one of the singer's few public appearances this year. Previously, she attended basketball games in the U.S. with her fiancé, sports agent Rich Paul, and visited the British Grand Prix. While returning to the yacht after her swim, Adele briefly lost her footing on the pebbled shoreline but appeared unhurt.

Adele has been keeping a low profile since announcing a hiatus from music following her Munich residency in August 2024. The residency featured a ten-night concert series at a specially constructed 80,000-capacity venue dubbed the Adele Arena.

Meanwhile, the singer is reportedly preparing for her acting debut in Tom Ford's film adaptation of Anne Rice's novel "Cry To Heaven," slated for release this year. She is set to star alongside Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Colin Firth, and Nicholas Hoult. Filming locations are listed as London and Rome, requiring Adele to be away from her Beverly Hills home.

Adele's personal life also includes co-parenting her 13-year-old son, Angelo, with her ex-husband Simon Konecki. She purchased her Beverly Hills home with Paul in 2022 to facilitate this arrangement.

A Summer of Sport

This summer has also seen Adele engage with her passion for Formula 1, a sport she shares with her son Angelo. She recently made a rare public appearance at the British Grand Prix, wearing a shirt supporting F1 driver Lando Norris and his McLaren team. This followed an earlier appearance at the US Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, where she was seen with drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli.

In a recent interview, Adele discussed her and Angelo's shared enthusiasm for Formula 1. She explained that her son's interest in karting sparked her own involvement, leading to bonding over the sport. "I don't know many teenagers who have a passion so I'm really trying to encourage it. He's obsessed but I'm also obsessed," she stated. She added that this shared interest has created a strong connection with her soon-to-be 14-year-old son.

Adele also visited McLaren Racing headquarters, meeting with CEO Zak Brown and drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. During a conversation with Lando Norris, Adele admitted she does not sing often anymore, but briefly belted out a few lines of Britney Spears' "...Baby One More Time" when trying on a driving headset.

Reflecting on her career, Adele described her job as a singer as "ridiculous" and spoke about her struggles with fame. She revealed that she initially aspired to be an A&R executive, believing her talent lay in discovering new artists rather than performing. She acknowledged the unlikelihood of a career in music for someone from Tottenham and emphasized her ongoing challenges with the public aspects of fame.
