Woodward shared the news on Instagram, posting photos of the newborn and writing, "Welcome to the world Matthew Rayn Woodward. 05.08.2026 We love you more than you could ever know." He was pictured carrying his son out of the hospital in his car seat. Weedall, a freestyle footballer, also shared photos of their baby on her social media.
Woodward joined 'Hollyoaks' in 2017, and his character was written out of the show in 2021. He has since appeared in 'Emmerdale.' The couple announced Weedall's pregnancy in March, sharing a silhouette photo on Instagram.
Woodward's 'Hollyoaks' co-stars, including Owen Warner, Nikki Anderson, and Gary Lucy, offered their congratulations in the comments section of his announcement post. Previously, Woodward was in a relationship with his 'Hollyoaks' co-star Sophie Porley, who portrayed Ellie Nightingale. Their two-year relationship ended in 2020.
