Disney World has drawn online criticism following the release of new merchandise that features a significant spelling error. A recently launched clothing line, celebrating the 45th anniversary of Disney's "The Fox and the Hound," incorrectly spells the name of the character Tod on several items.
The collection, a collaboration with SkinnyDip, includes T-shirts and sweatshirts adorned with characters from the animated film. Fans quickly pointed out the error on a white T-shirt, priced at $38, which displayed the character Copper and the film's title. However, beneath "Copper & Todd" was printed, an incorrect spelling of Tod's name.
A dark green sweatshirt, costing $55, also featured a similar mistake. This item depicted the characters Tod and Copper playing, with accompanying text that again misspelled Tod's name as "Todd."

Disney fans and bloggers have noted the oversight, with some publications suggesting that a merchandise line focused on an anniversary should have stricter quality control. The affected clothing is available at the Disney Ever After shop in Disney Springs.
This incident follows recent criticism of Disney World. Weeks prior, a guest shared concerns after noticing that a prop on the Tiana's Bayou Adventure ride appeared to be held together with duct tape. The guest argued that the use of duct tape was anachronistic, as the ride is set in the 1920s, a period before duct tape was invented. This observation also sparked considerable backlash from other park visitors who felt it detracted from the ride's immersive theme and reflected poorly on the park's attention to detail.
