Authorities in the United Kingdom have initiated extradition proceedings in South Africa for a man suspected of murdering his wife and two daughters. Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, a British citizen of Zimbabwean heritage, was arrested on Friday night in Johannesburg.

The Crown Prosecution Service in Britain has authorized three murder charges against Tshuma. The suspect appeared in court in South Africa following the UK's extradition application.

British police discovered the bodies of Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, and her daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, five, at a house in Great Denham, near Bedford, on July 6.
