Authorities have raided a storage unit belonging to Thomas Markle, the father of Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, uncovering a significant quantity of child pornography and other disturbing materials. The discovery has prompted an investigation by the FBI.

The contents of the unit, located in Mexico, included numerous magazines, books with explicit titles, VHS tapes with handwritten labels, and instructions on how to wipe a hard drive. In one photograph, Markle is seen posing on a bed with a woman of uncertain age.

This development comes as the British Royal Family faces scrutiny regarding the timeline and handling of scandals involving Thomas Markle. The timing is particularly sensitive, with King Charles III set to open the Commonwealth summit in Antigua, where the legacy of the slave trade is a prominent agenda item.

Last year, an investigation by the Daily Mail uncovered child pornography and pedophilia magazines within Markle's storage unit, which were subsequently reported to the FBI. At that time, it was unclear if any official checks had been conducted prior to Prince Harry and Meghan's engagement in November 2017.

In January 2019, the Metropolitan Police's Royalty and Specialist Protection Command reportedly received a letter detailing serious allegations about Markle's behavior abroad. The Palace has yet to comment on the latest findings or the ongoing investigation.
