Princess Eugenie has given birth to a baby girl at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal. The baby arrived on Monday at 6:20 p.m. BST, weighing 6 pounds, 9 ounces.
This is the third child for Princess Eugenie, 36, and her husband, Jack Brooksbank. Their two sons, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank and Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, were born in 2021 and 2023, respectively. The couple has yet to announce a name for their new daughter.
A statement from Buckingham Palace confirmed that "Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news." Princess Eugenie shared her excitement on Instagram, writing, "Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie."
The new arrival, who will not hold the title of HRH, is 15th in line to the British throne. The couple divides their time between Portugal and Ivy Cottage, located on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
Princess Eugenie announced her pregnancy in May, posting a photo of her sons holding a baby scan with the caption, "Baby Brooksbank due 2026!" At the time, the Palace confirmed that "His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news."
