A drug dealer who posed as a takeaway worker while selling cocaine and heroin has been sentenced to four years and nine months in prison. Dawid Bialek, 30, was filmed by Greater Manchester Police asking a customer for their order number as he packaged drugs from what appeared to be a Kinder Egg.
"What would you like?" Bialek was heard asking in the footage, to which the person responded, "801." Bialek then replied, "Your order's on its way, sir," and added, "That's our little McDonald's game. That's what we are playing."
In May 2026, police officers on patrol near Quayside, Leigh, observed Bialek attempting to discard a package into the water. The package was recovered and found to contain multiple wraps of suspected Class A drugs. Subsequent inquiries led officers to an address in Leigh where more suspected drugs, weighing scales, empty wraps, and mobile phones were discovered.
Bialek was initially released on bail. However, just over a month later, plain-clothes officers apprehended him in an alley near the canal towpath in Leigh town center. He was found to be in possession of more drugs and cash.
He was charged with four counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, including heroin and crack cocaine, and handling stolen goods. Bialek initially denied the charges but later pleaded guilty after police examined his mobile phones and found evidence of his drug-dealing operation, including the video of his "takeaway" ruse.
Bialek, who had no fixed address, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on October 30. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police stated that the supply of Class A drugs causes significant harm and exploits vulnerable individuals. "This result demonstrates our commitment to targeting those responsible for bringing drugs into Leigh and disrupting the criminality associated with them," the spokesperson said. The force added that it will continue to use intelligence and targeted operations to bring drug suppliers to justice.
