Elaine McGowan, a 65-year-old British pub landlady, was fatally shot in front of her husband during a holiday in Trinidad and Tobago. The incident occurred on July 5 in the Trincity area.

Video footage shows a silver Nissan Tiida stopping near a property where McGowan was standing with her husband. A person exited the vehicle and approached the house before firing three shots. The individual then returned to the car, which drove away from the scene.

Trinidad and Tobago Police have confirmed they are investigating the shooting and are in possession of the footage. As of July 16, no arrests have been made, and a motive for the killing has not yet been established. McGowan's sister, Joanne Butcher, has appealed for anyone with information to contact the local police.

Mrs. McGowan was the daughter of immigrants from Trinidad and Tobago who settled in South London in the 1960s. Her family has described her as a brilliant person who valued family and community.
