A 19-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to seven counts of theft after CCTV footage showed her taking high-end skincare products in London over a period of months, court records and media reports said Thursday.

Alice Constantin admitted the offences at Westminster Magistrates’ Court and is due to be sentenced on Sept. 25. Authorities say the total value of the goods taken exceeded £5,000.

Prosecutors allege the thefts occurred across several incidents in London within a few months. Court filings and coverage of the hearing describe the items taken as high-end skincare products commonly sold in department stores and specialist cosmetics retailers, though specific shops were not named in the hearing summary.

At the brief hearing, Constantin entered guilty pleas to each of the seven counts. The magistrates’ court scheduled a sentencing hearing for Sept. 25, when a judge will consider the appropriate penalty. Police and court officials did not release further details about the circumstances of the offences, any previous convictions or whether restitution to the affected retailers has been sought.

CCTV evidence has increasingly played a central role in shoplifting prosecutions by providing visual documentation of incidents and helping retailers and police identify suspects. In magistrates’ courts, guilty pleas typically lead to sentencing hearings in which magistrates or judges weigh factors such as the value of stolen goods, the defendant’s criminal history and any mitigating circumstances.

The case will return to Westminster Magistrates’ Court in late September for sentencing. Until then, no additional court orders or conditions were reported in the public hearing summary.
