Phillies ace Zack Wheeler and his wife Dominique have sold their penthouse at 73 Wooster Street in SoHo for $26 million, establishing a new record for the neighborhood based on price per square foot. The sale achieved nearly $5,400 per square foot, the highest average price recorded in the area over the past five years.

The penthouse, listed for $27 million, spans 4,856 square feet and includes a 3,008-square-foot private rooftop terrace. The buyer's identity remains unknown, having purchased the property through an LLC.

The residence is part of a boutique, full-service condominium with only six units. The apartment features 15-foot ceilings, original casement windows, exposed brick, and 53 feet of frontage overlooking West Broadway. The layout includes open living and dining areas, a chef's kitchen, a wine vault, and four bedroom suites.

The rooftop terrace is equipped with a pergola, an outdoor kitchen, a bocce court, and several lounge areas. The Wheelers purchased the property in 2024 for $16 million and subsequently undertook a full renovation. The renovation included a mural commissioned from tattoo artist Mr. K.

Dominique Wheeler, who led the renovation with interior design firm 1508 London, stated that New York City holds sentimental value for the couple, as it is where they met and where Zack Wheeler began his career with the Mets. She emphasized that the penthouse was conceived as a passion project to create something unique, rather than a long-term investment.

Zack Wheeler, 36, is a starting pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies, known for his Cy Young-caliber performance. He recently signed a three-year contract extension with the Phillies worth $126 million.
