A 28-year-old woman has died after being discovered with critical injuries at a residence in St James, Perth. Police responded to a call at a property on Taree Street at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, where they found the woman unresponsive. She was transported to Royal Perth Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Homicide Squad detectives have initiated a murder investigation into the incident. A 38-year-old man, who is reportedly known to the deceased, has been taken into custody. He is currently assisting police with their inquiries as the investigation continues.
