A 56-year-old woman was hospitalized on Saturday after being stabbed by a 66-year-old woman at an exclusive apartment building on Manhattan's Upper East Side. The attack took place around 12:30 p.m. at 210 E. 73rd St., a co-op building located between Second and Third Avenues.

The victim sustained a stab wound to the stomach and was transported to Weill Cornell hospital in stable condition, according to police. The suspect, described as a 66-year-old woman, was taken into custody by authorities. The investigation into the motive behind the violence is ongoing.

Sources indicated that the incident may have stemmed from a domestic dispute. One neighbor, who lives at a nearby building, reported overhearing a woman on the phone shortly before the stabbing. The neighbor told The Post that the woman was speaking to what appeared to be her patient, exclaiming, "I do everything for you, I do your laundry, I take care of you, I take care of every little thing."

One-bedroom units in the building where the stabbing occurred are valued at up to $700,000, according to real estate data.
