Chicago Sky guard DiJonai Carrington publicly accused her former girlfriend, Las Vegas Aces forward NaLyssa Smith, of cheating with multiple WNBA players. Carrington made the allegations on social media platform Threads on Sunday morning, naming Deja Kelly and Aaliyah Nye as individuals with whom Smith allegedly had affairs.
"yes , nalyssa cheated on me with Deja Kelly and Aaliyah Nye +++ many more," Carrington wrote in her post. It remains unclear what specifically prompted Carrington to disclose these details about their past relationship. The players named in the accusation have not yet issued public statements.
Carrington and Smith began dating in 2020 while both were playing for Baylor University's women's basketball team. Their relationship continued after they both entered the WNBA, and they were briefly teammates during the 2025 season with the Wings.
Carrington announced their separation in November 2025, stating at the time that they had "grown in different directions" and parted on amicable terms. The recent allegations present a different narrative to their previous public statements about the breakup.
The WNBA season is expected to feature several matchups between the players involved. The Chicago Sky are scheduled to face the Aces on Saturday, which would pit Carrington against Smith and Kelly. The Sky are also set to play the Atlanta Dream, featuring Nye, on September 19.
Carrington is anticipated to make her debut for the Chicago Sky following the WNBA All-Star break as she recovers from a foot injury that has kept her sidelined.
