A 36-year-old Wisconsin woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing a fire truck from a Pleasant Prairie fire station and embarking on a naked joyride early Tuesday morning. The suspect, identified as Emily Fair, was apprehended by police at a Department of Public Works garage approximately one hour after taking the vehicle.
During her time in the stolen fire truck, Fair allegedly made a series of unusual radio transmissions that were received back at the station. According to reports, these transmissions included attempts to contact someone named "Brennan" and requests for food. The content of these communications has been described as confusing.
When law enforcement officers stopped Fair, body camera footage shows her claiming to be an official firefighter who was scheduled to meet someone. When questioned by an officer about her naked state while driving the truck, Fair did not offer a clear explanation. Her clothing was later found in the back of the fire truck.
Fair has been charged with operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent. If convicted, she faces a potential prison sentence of six years. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, and the specific details leading up to the alleged theft and joyride are still under investigation.
