Wildfires have devastated parts of Washington state, destroying an estimated 600 homes in and around Spokane, the state's second-largest city, as of Monday. Tens of thousands of residents have been forced to evacuate their homes.
BBC Verify has analyzed videos posted online showing the aftermath of the fires and matched them with pre-fire images of the same locations to document the extent of the destruction. The images reveal charred homes and burnt-out vehicles across affected neighborhoods.
