Rachel Ohene-Adjei has graduated with a nursing degree, a journey she embarked on after her husband died from COVID-19. The path to graduation involved overcoming significant personal and academic challenges, including balancing her studies with parenting commitments.

Ohene-Adjei described the difficulty of managing her children's active social lives and extracurricular activities, such as football, rugby, and dance, while also dedicating time to her coursework. She admitted to sometimes pulling "all-nighters" to keep up with her studies and questioned whether the demands were worth the time away from her family.

Despite not considering herself strong academically in the past, Ohene-Adjei was determined to succeed. Her family and friends provided crucial support throughout her studies. A significant part of her motivation stemmed from a desire to set an example for her children, demonstrating that age or life circumstances do not have to be barriers to achieving one's goals.

"They knew I was doing it to show them that it doesn't matter what happens in life, or how old you are. If you want to do something and you put your mind to it, then you can do it," she stated.
