White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has returned to her duties following a two-month maternity leave, accompanying President Donald Trump on a trip to Pennsylvania. Leavitt, 28, joined the President on his visit to a Mack Trucks assembly plant in Lower Macungie Township, where Trump discussed re-industrialization and his jobs agenda for the Rust Belt. This marks one of Leavitt's first public appearances since giving birth to her second child.

Leavitt was also seen making her first media report on Fox News since her return. During her maternity leave, which began shortly after the April assassination attempt on President Trump at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, various administration officials covered her press briefing responsibilities, including Vice President JD Vance.

Leavitt gave birth to her daughter, Viviana, on May 1. She and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, 60, also have a son, Niko, who will turn two next month. Leavitt has shared personal moments on social media during her time off, including family photos with her newborn and son. She and her husband also attended Trump's birthday UFC fight on June 14, an event she documented on Instagram.

Leavitt has been open about her relationship with Riccio, noting their 31-year age difference. She described their love story as "very atypical" in a previous interview, stating they met when she ran for Congress in New Hampshire in 2022 and fell in love despite initial doubts about the age gap.
