A website named Pipexpert.co.uk is offering advice on how to secure Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefits for a fee, as the number of people claiming the disability payment in England and Wales has exceeded four million. The site, run by Karol Slusarczyk, claims it can help claimants secure higher payouts by advising on how to answer government forms to emphasize the severity of their condition.
According to figures from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), four million people were claiming PIP as of April 2026, marking a 2% increase over the preceding three months. Of these recipients, 3.3 million are of working age. The amount of PIP awarded depends on how individuals answer questions about their condition and its impact on their daily lives and ability to care for themselves.
Pipexpert.co.uk offers a £49.99 guide that provides what it describes as "complete personalised guidance" for a PIP claim, including instructions on specific language to use. A premium option for £99.99 offers a "done for you" report with pre-written answers. For those whose claims have been rejected, the site provides a "mandatory reconsideration pack" for £149.99.
The website states that its guidance differs from free government advice by explaining "exactly how YOUR condition affects those activities and what language to use." It notes that a PIP refusal is not necessarily final, citing that approximately one in three mandatory reconsiderations result in a changed decision, and two-thirds of tribunal appeals are won by claimants.
When the Daily Mail conducted a free survey on the site, using "anxiety" as the stated disability, the results indicated a potential annual entitlement of £10,088, or up to £194 per week (£30,264 over three years). The site suggests that a single PIP award can be worth hundreds of times the cost of its guidance.
Karol Slusarczyk, who was born in Poland and resides in the UK, also operates esaexpert.co.uk, which assists claimants with the Work Capability Assessment (WCA). Concerns have been raised regarding the increase in PIP claims linked to mental health conditions, which now constitute 39% of all claims.
A DWP spokesperson stated, "We condemn those who charge people for help with PIP applications for financial gain." The spokesperson added that PIP is awarded after a thorough assessment of all evidence and that the department is increasing the proportion of face-to-face assessments to 30%. The Daily Mail has contacted Pipexpert for comment.
