London police have launched an urgent appeal to locate Balasankar Narayanan, 46, who has gone on the run from a care facility for the third time. Narayanan fled on Thursday while on escorted leave from a facility in Ilford, east London.
He was last seen at 2:00 PM in South Park, wearing a light green t-shirt, grey and black shorts, black socks with red stripes, and grey shoes. He has a shaved head. Police have previously warned that Narayanan is considered a risk to women and is a potentially violent individual.
This marks the third instance of Narayanan absconding from care. In August 2024, he went missing while on a walk with staff. In January 2025, he disappeared for a second time in east London, prompting increased concern from authorities.
Narayanan has links to various areas across London, including Newham, Greenford, Hammersmith, Highgate, and Ilford. He has also been located in Essex and Manchester in the past. Police are asking the public to call 999 immediately if they see him, quoting reference CAD 4956/3Sep.
