Vernon Kay has reportedly purchased a new home approximately 15 minutes away from his family residence as he navigates his separation from Tess Daly. The BBC Radio 2 DJ, 52, is currently still residing with his ex-wife but is preparing to relocate to the new property.

Sources close to the situation indicate that Kay is keen to remain near Daly and their two daughters. The newly acquired house, valued at £3 million, features a swimming pool and extensive grounds. It is currently undergoing renovations, and Kay is expected to move in once the work is completed. Daly is reportedly supportive of the move.

The couple, who were married for 23 years, announced their separation in May. In a joint statement, they shared that they had reached a mutual agreement to go their separate ways, emphasizing their continued friendship and commitment to their roles as parents. Friends of the couple confirmed they remained at their marital home in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, following the announcement.

The statement read: "After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably. This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire of what is best for both of us... We remain great friends and, most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority. There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time. We will not be making any further public comments."

Kay and Daly, whose combined estimated worth is around £10 million, were last seen together publicly in February while hosting an episode of The One Show. They share two daughters, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Tess Daly and her daughter Phoebe were collaborating on an undisclosed project. Daly shared a photo on Instagram of herself and Phoebe, hinting at their joint endeavor. This collaboration comes after Kay stated in an April interview that he and Daly were committed to instilling a strong work ethic in their daughters and did not want them to become "pampered nepo babies."
