A U.S. Navy airman is missing following an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter crash in the Arabian Sea early Wednesday. The helicopter was assigned to the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier when it went down around 3:30 a.m.

Three of the helicopter's four crew members were recovered and are reported to be in stable condition aboard the USS George H.W. Bush. U.S. Navy officials stated there is no indication that hostile action caused the emergency landing. The U.S. 5th Fleet confirmed the incident and is leading the ongoing search for the missing crew member. An investigation into the crash is underway.

The U.S. Navy fleet has been operating in the Arabian Sea in the context of the ongoing Iran War.
