Two men have been re-arrested in connection with the death of soldier Liam Potts in Wylam. Potts, 22, was described by his family as "the heart and soul of any room."

"We are going to miss your smile, your laugh, and the little things that made you who you are," his family said in a tribute. "Though time may pass, the love we have for you will never fade."

The family also expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support and tributes from those who reached out, stating it brought comfort during their time of need. "It's clear to see how loved Liam was," they added.

They also extended thanks to the North of Tyne Mountain Rescue Team, Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team, Northumbria Police, and the police diving team for their efforts in the search and recovery of Potts. Rescue teams were observed searching the River Tyne in the Wylam area. Bouquets of flowers were seen tied to the railings of a bridge over the river, a testament to the affection felt for Potts. Eleven bouquets of flowers are tied to the metal railings of a bridge over a river. They are of various bright colours and wrapped in plastic. There is also a white card attached, but the writing is too small to be made out. There are tall, green trees bordering the water below.
