A police chase through London concluded with a crash outside the Southside Shopping Centre on Saturday, July 25, 2026, resulting in the arrest of a man and a woman. Both individuals, aged 43, were taken to the hospital for minor injuries sustained during the incident.
The pursuit began when officers on patrol in Wandsworth High Street were alerted to a car with a cloned number plate. When police signaled for the vehicle to stop, the driver failed to comply and instead reversed into a police car, initiating an authorized pursuit.
Footage shared on social media captured the moment the grey Nissan vehicle swerved past a police car in an apparent attempt to evade capture. The car was later seen surrounded by approximately seven police vehicles, with its driver's door visibly dented.
Witnesses reported seeing the Nissan "spin around" after being hit outside the shopping centre around midday. The driver and passenger were subsequently arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop, and dangerous driving.
Authorities are appealing for anyone with information to contact the force by calling 101, quoting CAD 3232/25July.
