Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson has proposed the creation of a new political party, asserting that the Democratic and Republican parties have become indistinguishable on core issues and that the current system functions as a "one-party state posing as a democracy." Carlson stated his intention to "do everything I can to bring about" the formation of a third party, while clarifying he would not seek to be a candidate within it.

This suggestion comes amid a broader trend of figures associated with the MAGA movement exploring challenges to the established two-party system in the United States. Historically, third parties have struggled to gain significant traction against the entrenched Democratic and Republican parties.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, also announced the formation of a new political entity named the "America Party" earlier this year, following a reported fracture in his relationship with former President Donald Trump. Musk's previous involvement included the establishment of America PAC, a super political action committee founded in 2024. This PAC reportedly invested approximately $200 million to support Trump's electoral efforts, with Musk being one of his most prominent and largest donors during the 2024 election cycle.
