Former President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance are scheduled to headline the Republican Party's midterm convention next month in Dallas, Texas. Vance is set to speak on Wednesday evening, with Trump appearing on Thursday.

The event, organized by the Republican National Convention, is being promoted as a "primetime showcase for President Trump’s success, candidates, and causes that have propelled the 2026 midterms to unprecedented focus." It aims to rally support for Republican candidates and highlight the party's agenda.

During the convention, Republicans plan to emphasize key policy areas and contrast their platform with that of the opposing party. Candidate showcases will be held each evening from 6 to 7 p.m. to introduce individuals running in competitive races.

The first night's programming will focus on tax cuts, healthcare affordability, border security, trade, and domestic manufacturing, featuring appearances by "workers and everyday Americans." The second night will highlight policies benefiting families, such as tax exemptions on tips, overtime, and Social Security. It will also include segments on border security, efforts to reduce prescription drug costs, and a tribute to conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Additionally, a segment will mark the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks with families of first responders.

The convention will also include programming under the "Make America Healthy Again" initiative, addressing issues like chronic disease and the influence of corporate interests on public health agencies. Some segments are expected to promote a ban on stock trading by members of Congress.

"Over two action-packed days, we will take Americans through the defining issues of our Party’s agenda and what is at stake in November," RNC Chairman Joe Gruters stated in an announcement.
