President Donald Trump is scheduled to speak at the rescheduled White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) Dinner on July 24, White House officials confirmed to Fox News Digital. The event, which was postponed following an armed suspect's appearance at the April dinner, will be held at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, D.C.
The White House has released a list of administration officials slated to attend, including White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, FBI Director Kash Patel, Education Secretary Linda McMahon, Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, Energy Secretary Chris Wright, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Acting Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling, NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman, and U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Jamieson Greer.
Notably absent from the event will be First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. A White House spokesperson cited prior commitments as the reason for their unavailability.
Following the security incident in April, WHCA President Weijia Jiang announced in June that the rescheduled dinner would be a "more intimate gathering." Jiang stated that the event would serve as a "statement that violence has no place in American life and a free press will not be intimidated into silence."
