Former President Donald Trump sparked confusion on social media over the weekend when he posted a decades-old photograph accompanied by the caption, "Great daughter. My Honor!!!" The image, however, did not feature either of his daughters, Ivanka or Tiffany Trump.
The woman in the photograph is reportedly Margo Catsimatidis, wife of John Catsimatidis, a supermarket magnate, influential Trump ally, and major donor. John Catsimatidis also owns WABC radio in New York, where he hosts a program. The decor in the image suggests it was taken at Camp David during the Bill Clinton administration.
It is believed that Trump's post was a reference to Andrea Catsimatidis, the daughter of Margo and John Catsimatidis. Andrea Catsimatidis is the chair of the Manhattan Republican Party and a known supporter of Trump. She appeared to confirm this interpretation on Sunday night via a post on X, formerly Twitter, where she shared Trump's original message and added, "Thank you Mr President! Thank you for inviting me to your birthday party, it was an amazing tribute filled with so much American pride. And thank you for everything you are doing for America!"
Trump offered no further explanation for the post, leaving many of his followers and observers to speculate about the identity of the woman in the image and the context of his comment.
