A new supercut released Tuesday scrutinizes Donald Trump’s repeated and shifting timelines for ending the war in Iran. The compilation was produced by the conservative-led nonprofit Home of the Brave in partnership with the progressive veterans group VoteVets.

The groups also launched an online calendar tracker, AboutTwoWeeks.com, which documents dozens of instances where Trump has promised an imminent end to the conflict.

Sarah Matthews, spokesperson for Home of the Brave and a former White House deputy press secretary under Trump, stated, "The president’s repeated promises to end the war in ‘about two weeks’ are falsehoods intended to hide the fact that he has no plan and no cards left to play." Matthews added, "We won’t stop calling out this insult to America’s heroes, because they signed up to give their best to this country, and Trump is giving them his worst in return."

According to a statement on Home of the Brave's Substack, Trump "promised to be the president of ‘no more wars,’ and vowed repeatedly to keep America out of military quagmires on foreign shores." The group noted, "Once in office, he started his illegal war with Iran without seeking Congressional approval, and without even attempting to make a cogent case for military action to the American public."

The campaign aims to "mobilize veterans and pro-democracy Americans in opposition to this administration’s disastrous foreign and military policies" leading up to the November midterm elections.

Trump has frequently asserted the war is nearly over, most recently stating on Monday, "We’re going to win that war very soon."
