President Donald Trump shared his ideal golf foursome, naming golf legends Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods, alongside an unexpected personal choice: his father, Fred Trump.
During an appearance on Fox News' 'Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy,' Trump was asked to identify the three people he would most like to play a round of golf with. Trump, an avid golfer who owns several golf courses, first mentioned Nicklaus, an 18-time major champion, stating, "I love Jack, okay, Jack is great." He then added Woods to the list, calling him "a great guy."
Trump and Woods have played together previously, and Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Nicklaus and Woods collectively hold 33 major championships.
For the fourth member of his dream foursome, Trump chose his father. "It's funny, I played one round of golf with my father and he never played golf before," Trump explained. "And I remember how good his swing was. I think my father had a lot of — I'd love to have my father back. I'd love to have my father back."
Trump has played golf with numerous professional golfers, including Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, and Scottie Scheffler. His courses have also hosted events for both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf in recent years.
